About me:

I am a mom to two gorgeous kids and a wife to a workaholic husband. I am a bit of a nomad currently living in Vienna, Austria. A city full of amazing art, opera and oodles of inspiration! It is my 10th country (so far) and I have to admit I am addicted to moving around (yes my poor kids). I love travel, nature and all the different cultures and diversity that make up this amazing planet. I studied and worked in Graphic design after leaving school, then moved (again) and studied photography for a few years,

There is nothing better than seeing creations and images come to life. Creating things that make the world easier on the eye, infusing homes with nature, comfort and feeling. Using creativity to make sense of the world and be grateful for the many amazing things nature and cultures have to share with us. I hope you will check out my designs and if you do create something tag me on instagram as I would really love to see it. You can purchase my designs on Spoonflower for use in fabrics or wallpapers.

If there is a particular design you are looking for please email me and let’s create it together, I always love a good collaboration.

Happy creating!

"In the act of creativity, being careful guarantees sameness and mediocrity, which means your work will be invisible. Better to be reckless than careful. Better to be bold than safe."

Some Rambling:

After leaving school I studied graphic design. I loved it and worked in the industry for a few years afterwards. I could never really put my finger on what it was about design that I loved so much. Then I moved country (I had done that a few times already) to a country where I wasn’t allowed to work. For the first 3 months it was just fun and games, but then it became boring and I started to feel pretty lost. I started studying photography and it became an obsession that I truly believe will stay with my for all my days. Photography helped me to see the world around me, to better understand it and make sense of what it is that I liked and disliked.

A few years later (and 10 of thousands of photographs later) and I was in another country with my first born. I started to study illustration which was just a lot of fun.

“The arts especially address the idea of aesthetic experience. An aesthetic experience is one in which your senses are operating at their peak; when you’re present in the current moment; when you’re resonating with the excitement of this thing that you’re experiencing; when you are fully alive.”
Ken Robinson

When I fell into surface design I realised something: Photography feeds my designs and illustration. Travelling fuels all of my creativity.

I know now what it is that I love about this kind of work, it’s the act of creativity itself. Bringing something from the imagination into an idea and growing that idea, moulding it into something that takes on it’s own life and then sharing it with the world.
